David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny is cooking up a cauliflower soup storm for one week only, as the OAP who has left critics raving appears at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre Wed 17 – Sun 21 May. Based on Walliams’ popular children’s book, this award-nominated show is sure to be right up every youngster’s street!

 

Ballet fans will not want to miss Northern Ballet’s masterpiece, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas Fri 9 – Sat 10 Jun. The UK’s foremost narrative ballet company will present this heart-breaking story based on the movie, through dance, for the very first time.

There’s a live music overload with Let’s Twist Again (Sat 27 May) delivering music, fun and laughter through a night celebrating Elvis, Dusty and The Beatles to name a few, before Brian Poole and The Tremeloes bring an evening of nostalgia taking you back to the Swinging Sixties. Classical lovers will enjoy Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (Wed 24 May) and their programme including Schubert’s Symphony No.8 and Brahm’s Symphony No.4, and a rip-roaring variety show is in order with the return of That’ll Be The Day spanning the 50s right through to the 70s on Sat 24 Jun.

With comedy courtesy of Russell Brand, Live Screenings including National Theatre’s Salome, spring has certainly sprung in theatreland!
