Easter adventures with the National Trust in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire

  • 10 Easter adventures in Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire taking place during the school holidays and over the bank holiday weekend (29 March–1 April)
  • Explore mazes and meadows, kitchen gardens and orchards, parkland and woodland bursting with the signs of spring 
  • Enjoy nature-inspired crafts, egg and spoon races, welly wanging, mythical creatures, a colour run and much, much more 
  • Cost includes chocolate egg, or a vegan ‘Free-From’ chocolate egg, made here in the UK using cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms

 

National Trust Easter egg trails cost £3 per child, plus normal National Trust admission/free entry for National Trust members.

Hughenden, near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire

Easter trail 23 March – 7 April 10am-4pm

At Easter, encounter life-size mythical creatures, solve riddles, and discover hidden treasures at Hughenden. Challenge yourself with a mythical twist on classic games – conquer Medusa’s Snakes and Ladders or engage in a playful game of Cyclops Eye Spy on the parterre. Upon completion of the 10 activities on your quest, you will receive a chocolate ‘dragon’ egg.

Easter trail 23 March – 14 April

Designed with families in mind, The Easter trail features ten activity stations, showcasing the cheery signs of spring. You may even bump into some grazing sheep and early lambs on your springtime adventure across the country estate at Greys Court.

There are also two pre-bookable Easter wreath-making workshops on 20 and 22 March for adults, with materials and light refreshments included.

 

Waddesdon, near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire

Easter trail 27 March – 7 April 10am-4pm

At Easter, Waddesdon is jam-packed with lots of fun games and creative activities. The trail starts on the North Front of the manor and makes its way around the grounds before ending at the Coach House down at the Stables.

 

Cliveden, near Maidenhead on the Bucks/Berks border

Easter trail 29 March – 16 April 9.30am-5pm

You can’t miss the signs of spring popping up around Cliveden in bursts of bright daffodils. The Easter trail celebrates these moments and more with a 10-point trail around the glorious gardens.
