Silent View Windows is celebrating a proud milestone, Founder and Managing Director Enis Evlat has been named National Business Person of the Year (Gold Winner) at the SME National Business Awards 2025, held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London on 7th November.

The award is a meaningful recognition for this local, family-run business, celebrating dedication, perseverance, and values-driven leadership.

From Window Fitter to Business Leader

Enis’s journey is one of true determination. Leaving school without formal qualifications, he began as a window fitter, mastering every aspect of the trade. Together with his wife, Rose, he built Silent View Windows from the ground up relying on hard work, word of mouth, and a commitment to quality.

Today, the business is a trusted name in Thame, with:

• A busy showroom featuring premium windows and doors
• Two sister companies: Silent View Windows Commercial Ltd and Thame Builders Ltd

Despite this growth, Enis has never lost sight of his roots. His philosophy is simple: work hard, stay humble, and look after the people who look after you. Every team member is encouraged to gain qualifications and build a career they can be proud of.

Supporting the Local Community

Enis also gives back through community involvement. He serves as a voluntary director at Oxford Rising Stars Ice Hockey Club, supporting youth participation and sponsorship. Silent View Windows also backed Theo’s Skate Jam in Thame, which raised funds for Little Hearts Matter, a charity helping children with single-ventricle heart conditions.

Nominated by his fellow directors, Rose and Emma, Enis was praised for his modesty and quiet inspiration. Reflecting on the award, he said:
