Music, musicals and mighty fine classics are on the menu this Spring at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, not to mention a much-loved face from children’s TV!

Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (Tue 7 – Sat 11 Mar) is the world’s most successful rock n roll musical tracking Holly’s meteoric rise to fame, to his legendary final performance at The Surf Ballroom in Iowa. Two terrific hours are in store with songs including That’ll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Rave On and La Bamba. Less rock, more tap is the hilarious musical comedy, Thoroughly Modern Millie (Mon 27 – Sat 1 Apr) starring Strictly’s Joanne Clifton, and an iconic film is brought to life with Ghost: The Musical (Tue 18 – Sat 22 Apr), telling the tragic tale of an encounter that impacts a couple for life. This spectacular production is sure to send a shiver down your spine.

Arts classics are out in force with National Theatre’s stunning re-imagining of Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre (Mon 24 – Sat 29 Apr), Ellen Kent Opera’s production of Verdi’s Nabucco (Fri 3 Mar), and the return of English Youth Ballet and a company of 100 local dancers who will be joining Principals for Ballet Études and Nutcracker Suite (Fri 14 – Sat 25 Mar).

Live music courtesy of some of the best touring bands on the circuit will include Someone Like You: The Adele Songbook (Wed 1 Mar), Macca (Thu 2 Mar), One Night in Nashville (Thu 16 Mar), The ELO Experience (Sat 18 Mar), The Matt Monro Story (Tue 21 Mar) and Halfway to Paradise: The Billy Fury Story (Wed 22 Mar).

With Mr Bloom’s Nursery Live (Sat 4 Mar) in town, there’s something for everyone as the countdown to lighter evenings begins!
