Impact of Fear

Fear is one of the most primal emotions, and the body adapts to it by creating protective physical holding patterns, such as a tightened chest, a clenched jaw, or restricted breathing. Fear can also infer changes in how we walk.

Fear is a human emotion that is triggered by a perceived threat. It is a basic survival mechanism that signals our bodies to respond to danger with a fight or flight  response. As such, it is an essential part of keeping us safe.

However, if people live in constant fear, whether from physical dangers in their environment or threats they perceive, they can experience negative impacts in all areas of their lives and even become incapacitated.

Fear prepares us to react to danger, understandably and primordially that relates to the principal fear of trauma and immediate threats or otherwise. It is perhaps  observably ironic, that such fears are sold by those who profit off of and foment fear. Rather than help to provide practical or realistic workable solutions. It is reasonable to state that much research, understands that, proactive, seemingly minor daily preventative measures are the foundation of long-term wellbeing.

However, health habits compound over time. A daily 20-minute walk or consistent medication adherence, alongside small nutritional adjustments, yield modest results at  first.

Over time, these tiny inputs multiply exponentially, drastically reducing risks of health difficulties.

Helping your self proactively, endorsing steady progress, using patience, consistency and noting in our lives’ how, all the parts are connected.

Best wishes, David
