Community Bus extends service to Ellesborough

For the first time in over 4 years, from 1 October this year Risborough Area Community Bus will be making changes to the timetable. The changes involve a reduction in our Speen service but significant enhancements to our Kimbles and Monks Risborough services.

The Kimbles route, currently run on Mondays and Thursdays, will be extended to include the Ellesborough Road, Butlers Cross/Russell Arms, Chalkshire Road and Terrick. The Saturday Speen service will be replaced with an additional Kimbles and Ellesborough route and all afternoon routes to the villages of Speen, the Bledlows, Kimbles & Ellesborough will be by request only. If you need a village route in the afternoon, please let the morning driver know or ring our co-ordinator on 07941 963097.

For Ellesborough, Butlers Cross and Terrick residents: Our Little Green Bus will run twice on Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings of each week from Princes Risborough, leaving the George & Dragon bus stop in the High Street at 08:50 and 11:35. Routing through Monks Risborough and Askett, it will then run up the A4010, along the Ellesborough Road, arriving at Butlers Cross/Russell Arms at 09:05 and 11:50. The bus will then turn left onto Chalkshire Road, left again back onto the A4010 at Terrick and then back to Princes Risborough via Little Kimble, Askett and Monks Risborough, arriving at 09:25 and 12:10. See new timetable enclosed. The cost for the journey will be £2 but all concessionary cards will be accepted and children under 16 travel for free.

For Monks Risborough residents: In addition to our current Monks Risborough service, there will be additional services on Saturdays leaving the George & Dragon bus stop in the High Street at 08:50 and 11:35, arriving back at 09:25 and 12:10. Times at the Parade will be 08:55, 09:20, 11:40 and 12:05. The cost for the journey will remain at £1.50 but all concessionary cards will be accepted and children under 16 travel for free

For Speen residents: We regret to let you know that because of falling passenger numbers on our Saturday Speen service we are replacing it with a service to the Kimbles and Ellesborough. However, the Tuesday morning services will continue as at present with the afternoon run by request only.
