You don’t need to be Scottish, or bring a partner, to enjoy the irresistible rhythms of the jigs, reels and strathspeys of Scottish Country Dancing. Every Thursday evening in the Oldham Hall, Great Missenden, our members enjoy this wonderful way of socialising, having fun and keeping fit!
We have had a particularly successful 50th Anniversary Year and are celebrating an increase in new members and the introduction of a tuition class for beginners. Our Charity Dance in April was another sell out event (following the Anniversary Dance last Christmas). To be able to fundraise while dancing means everyone benefits and at our year end party on 29 June we’ll present a cheque for £1000 to our Charity of the Year, The Stroke Association. It’s our proud boast that we’re a friendly club and we’d like nothing better than to share our love of Scottish dancing with more new dancers when we return to the Oldham Hall on 7 September. If you’re tempted to find a different way of keeping fit, find a pair of comfy shoes and come along. Your first session will be free!
