This years Thame Carnival promises to be a wonderful family event for the whole community to enjoy, the carnival will take place on Saturday 9th June 2018 from 12 pm onwards. The theme for 2018 is ‘Countryside’, celebrating our local area and the wonderful landscapes which surround Thame.
The day will be kicking off with the always impressive parade through the town with floats, dressing up and involvement from the local schools, businesses, clubs and societies, culminating at the Southern Road recreation ground where the winning float will be announced!
From then on there will be a huge variety of activities, stalls and entertainment throughout the afternoon including compering from Dan Blasor, a whole host of food, drink and merchandising stalls and of course fantastic family activities to get involved with including; Egg throwing, Inflatables, Entertainers, Musicians, Children’s Corner and much more! Throughout the afternoon the main stage and arena will play host to local musicians, dance and performance groups.
Alongside this there will be an opportunity to look around the amazing classic cars, motorbikes and tractors on display!
This year’s event will be raising money for the PTFA’s of the 3 primary schools and 1 secondary school all based in Thame.
