Thame’s Christmas Lights Switch-On

Thame’s Christmas Lights Switch-on event will take place this year on Friday 6th December.

The event runs from 4pm – 7.30pm, with the light switch-on at 6.30pm. These will once again be turned on by Mayor, Cllr Ann Midwinter and the winner of this year’s Town Trail (if you want to be in with a chance of winning, this year’s competition launches on 12th November).

Santa will return to his grotto, accompanied again by two adorable reindeers that visitors to the event can feed and pet. His authentic sleigh will be available for those all-important family festive photo opportunities! Other activities include festive train rides up and down the town centre of this gorgeous market town, roaming Children’s characters, Nativity crafts, face-painting, Children’s rides and more.

The event promises to offer a fun night out with entertainment from local performance groups; craft and gift stalls a plenty; and a fantastic range of refreshments available- including mulled wine, cocktails, hot chocolate, freshly-made pizza, German sausages, world street food and more.

So, get your Christmas Jumpers ready and get ready to get festive in 10…9…8…7…
